ROOF WATERPROOFING PROJECT IN KHALIFA CITY, ABU DHABI

CrestPoint Building Maintenance LLC successfully completed a roof waterproofing project in Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi. The project was undertaken to eliminate water leakage issues, improve the waterproofing performance of the roof area, and provide long-term protection against water ingress and environmental exposure.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

The existing roof area was thoroughly inspected and prepared before the commencement of waterproofing works. Surface contaminants, dust, and debris were removed to ensure proper adhesion of the waterproofing system. Existing tile joints were repaired through grout application, while damaged areas around skirting walls and AC foundation bases were restored to create a sound and stable substrate.

WATERPROOFING SYSTEM INSTALLATION

Critical joints, weak points, and movement areas were treated using polyurethane sealant to prevent future water penetration. Following the repair works, a high-performance polyurethane waterproof coating system was applied in three coats across the entire roof surface, providing a durable and continuous waterproof protective layer.

The polyurethane waterproof coating offers excellent adhesion, flexibility, weather resistance, and long-term protection against water ingress. This coating system is specifically designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions, making it an ideal solution for roof waterproofing applications in Abu Dhabi and throughout the UAE.

PROJECT BENEFITS

To verify the effectiveness of the waterproofing works, a 48-hour water ponding test was successfully conducted, confirming the performance and integrity of the installed waterproof coating system.
